INGREDIENTS
Amounts below make enough cream for approximately 3–4 coffees.
- 200ml thickened cream
- 1 orange (juice plus a slice to garnish)
- 1 tsp honey
- 1 tsp vanilla essence
- Ice
- Chilled cold brew, plunger coffee or iced long black
- Orange slice, to garnish
METHOD
1. Pour the thickened cream, fresh orange juice, honey and vanilla essence into a wide glass. Froth with a whisk frother for 60-90 seconds, until thickened but still pourable.
2. Fill a glass with ice and pour over your chilled coffee, leaving around one-quarter of the glass for the cream. Need a filter coffee base? Follow our V60 pour-over or AeroPress brewing guides, then simply let your coffee chill before assembling.
3. Slowly pour the orange and honey cream over the coffee to create a rich, creamy top.
4. Garnish with half a slice of fresh orange and enjoy.
WHICH COFFEE SHOULD I USE?
For this version, we recommend Dad Fuel - Doc Edition Father's Day Coffee Blend, our limited-release light-medium roast created with filter coffee in mind. Its smooth cacao sweetness, lively fruit acidity and blueberry notes complement the orange and honey beautifully.
No Dad Fuel at home? No problem. A good cold brew or plunger coffee works beautifully, or try an iced long black for a stronger espresso-led version.
