The Rainforest Alliance aims to enhance, not only the quality of coffee, but the environment and the wider community. On Rainforest Alliance Farms, the environmental and social dimensions of coffee farming are significantly improved. Soils are conserved, tropical forests preserved and replanted, rivers and other key wildlife habitats are protected with the control of agro-chemicals, in addition, certification improves the standards for dignified living conditions for farmers and rural communities, through better wages, healthier working conditions and provision of descent housing, schools and health care.

The Byron Bay Coffee Company is proud to be re-planting Australian rainforest through its partnership with Rainforest Rescue. We are donating a percentage of profits from our entire Coffee product range to Rainforest Rescue and its Plant a Rainforest project.The Plant a Rainforest project replants previously cleared areas of rainforest and establishes habitat for the plants and animals, local to the specific ecosystem, which protects its precious biodiversity. Rainforest Rescue is a not for profit organisation committed to Protecting Rainforests Forever. Their projects re-establish rainforests through planting, maintenance and restoration programs, as well as purchasing and protecting high conservation value rainforest and preserving its biodiversity.
